Who ?

The tax certificate is given to donors (individuals or businesses), specifically the holders of the accounts from which the donations were made. Please be aware: collections, collective actions and receipts linked to the sale of products do not carry any right to a tax certificate.

When ?

Tax certificates are sent in March. Some may not arrive until April.

How much ?

The tax reduction is set at 60% (until end of december) of the donation made, as long as the donation is at least 40 Euros per calendar year and per supported recognised organisation. In other words, for each donation of 40 Euros to the FNRS and/or Télévie, you get 24 Euros back. This donation can be made up of several deposits made by the same donor.

A donor can deduct the donations from their taxable income, provided that the donations do not exceed 10% of their total net income and are less than 384 300 Euro for the whole of 2018. Which is very often the case ;-)

How ?

Normally, you shouldn’t have to do anything: the FNRS automatically sends the tax certificates by mail to the donor’s private address.

This requires us to know all your details, please check they are complete. Please complete a personal information form, found below, for each account you have used to make a donation.

The total of your donations made must be written in the X, A section of your income tax return (this procedure is often automated with Tax-on-web). The FNRS tax certificate should not be included in the return and should instead be provided to the tax authority in the event of an inspection.
